Amigurumi is Japanese for "knitted stuffed toy". While they've been popular on Etsy for quite some time (Wikipedia claims they were the most popular item in '06), many people have never seen or heard of them.
Who makes these adorable & soft little baby-safe toys?? Why, Amanda over at her "Amigurimiums" Etsy Shop! All Amigurimiums are crocheted with 100% cotton yarn, and stuffed with 100% naturally antibacterial, renewable bamboo fiber. That means no added chemicals will be ingested when kiddo chews, slobbers, and sucks on it. The eyes on her little creations are safety eyes and rated for ages three and up.
